If you’re completely new to it — welcome to the wonderful creative world of intentional camera movement (and if you’ve already got started – thanks for joining me too, so much wonderful stuff to share with you!!)
This is a place where movement and creativity come together to transform ordinary scenes into vibrant, painterly expressions — and I can’t wait to help you discover the magic in your own images.
I’ve created a little series called How to Create ICM Images – you’ll find the series of videos below or you can go to the YouTube channel where they live and find all the others too…
I’ve deliberately made them short and succinct – no fluff, just hitting on the main points I would consider key to starting to build your ICM skills or adding to the skills you’ve got…
Someone asked me last week, if I had one thing I had to say to her about ICM for success, what would it be… Tricky one… I had to pause and think and then I decided on this:
Less is more…
I remember when I first started (and it still happens) – I realised I was making movements that were far too big… trying to move too far or too fast – and very often that’s the problem if you’re ending up with a streaky, completely blurred chaos as your end result.
So – less is more! If it’s not working out so well… try slowing yourself down and moving less distance in your movement and see what happens then…
The series are on YouTube — here’s the link to the channel
Or you can watch them all below…
